Run your own Jeans 'n' Tees store! In our demo, you'll run your store for three months making routine decisions and taking on special monthly challenges.
Instructions
- Login into the business simulation with the username demo and password d.
- Check out the different niche markets by clocking on the icons, then "choose" when you have made your decision.
- Choose your location appropriate to your target market
- Click on the "Admin", "Ledger" and "This Month" buttons to explore the simulation interface.
- Now it's time to make your routine decisions. Click on the "admin" button to make you decisions.
- You will need to purchase Jeans and Tees by either individually, in cartons or crates. You can deselect by clicking on the icon with the red strike. Don’t forget to set a sales price, double the wholesale price is a good initial guide. You cannot exceed the store capacity, which is different depending on your location.
- Choose your staffing. Full-time staff work 40 hours/week, part-time work 20. You will need to make sure you have enough for 1 person on at anytime as well as more for busy periods and to allow for breaks
- Advertising. Being your first month you should advertise your presence. Your choice is in the form of Radio, TV and Print media.
- Bank Loan. Currently you have a bank loan of $50,000. You must repay at least $500 per month, although you can increase this amount, or borrow more cash if needed.
- Click "Play Month" to check your decisions, then YES if you are sure you are happy with your decisions

- Your Financial Performance will then be displayed. Scroll down to find your net profit/loss. You can also check out your position and stock movement in the ledger.
- Click on the "Money Doctor" in the Ledger for extra advice
- Play three months (turns) and see how your store's performance measures up
